Section 81

PRAYER FOR THE KING as

And again we beseech the almighty God, the Father, etc., for the lover of God, our king, lyasu, that he should keep his kingdom without trouble, in peace and righteousness, the almighty Lord our God.

The deacon shall say : Pray for the king.

Lord our God the almighty, we pray thee and we beseech thee for the king of this land, the lover of God, our king, lyasu, and grant to him what is useful for him. Cause to submit his enemy, the peoples who are against his wall& And speak in his heart for thy holy Church. Speedily let thy mercy find us, O Lord. The deacon shall say : Let us all say.

The people shall say : O Lord, have mercy upon him. Grant him without error to keep (his) understanding concerning the faith in the excellence of thy Godhead, through, etc.
