3 Maccabees

First century BCE, from Egypt. Despite the name, it concerns neither the Maccabees nor the Seleucids: Ptolemy IV, thwarted at the Jerusalem temple, orders the Jews of Egypt trampled by drunken elephants, and the plan collapses. Canonical in Orthodox Bibles.
