Esther, Greek Version
10 chapters · 205 verses · 7,140 words
The Greek Esther is roughly a sixth longer than the Hebrew, adding six large passages conventionally lettered A-F: Mordecai's dream and its interpretation, the texts of the royal decrees, and prayers by Mordecai and Esther. The additions supply the explicit references to God that the Hebrew book lacks. Printed here in full, so the Hebrew book in Section VI and this version can be compared. In Catholic and Orthodox Bibles.
