Other units frequently assigned to the same horizon, though with less agreement: the Blessing of Jacob (Genesis 49), the Oracles of Balaam (Numbers 23-24), the Blessing of Moses (Deuteronomy 33), and Psalm 68. Each appears in this volume within its canonical book.
On the Torah as a whole: traditional Jewish and Christian teaching assigns it to Moses in the 15th-13th century BCE. Critical scholarship assigns the final literary form to the Persian period. This volume follows the critical framework of the source guide and places the Torah in Section V, with Deuteronomy in Section III. That is an editorial decision about arrangement, not a claim about the antiquity of the traditions inside those books, much of which is older than the books themselves.
