1 Enoch: Dream Visions and the Epistle of Enoch (Chapters 83-108)

Second century BCE. Chapters 83-90 contain the Animal Apocalypse, which retells all of Israel's history with the actors as animals and ends in the Maccabean crisis, allowing a reasonably firm date. Chapters 91-108, the Epistle of Enoch, include the Apocalypse of Weeks, which divides history into ten weeks, and a series of woes against the rich and the oppressor. Translation: R. H. Charles, 1917.
